Marketing Assistant / Graduate Marketing Executive - IT (Honiton, Devon)

The role requires a bright, innovative and meticulous individual who will have either some commercial marketing experience, or a Marketing degree (or equivalent). The person should also be a self motivated professional with the ability to grasp, implement and manage suitable marketing strategies for the company from inception to completion with minimal supervision.

It is important the person fully understands the technical nature of the business. Alchemy Systems supplies, installs and supports business networks, undertakes bespoke software and web development, and carries out ITC consultancy. Accredited to sell digital dictation, thin client and next generation VOIP telephony solutions, it operates in a diverse range of markets across the South West. The role requires a keen insight is built up to match opportunities to our abilities and the demographics of regional business communities.

The person will report to the managing director, in this newly created role requiring them to be responsible for building and eventually managing new marketing initiatives.

The position requires involvement in all aspects of the company’s marketing requirements with the ability to proactively shape and innovate to generate success. To this end some telemarketing is also required.

This position is based in the Honiton office but a flexible attitude to working from other locations including client visits is required.

  • Building case studies
  • Telemarketing follow up and appointment building
  • Vendor liaison
  • Show and seminar management

  • Demographics research and proactive marketing advice
  • Innovate and manage campaigns
  • Any other marketing and sales support activities that can contribute to the success of the company

Field IT Sales Executive / Business Development Manager – IT Technical Solutions (Honiton, Devon)

Clients range from start up companies with just a couple of PCs and Sage, to £30M multi-site complex infrastructures across the whole of the South West. An opportunity has now arisen for a Field IT Sales Executive / Business Development Manager to join the team and play a key role.

This is the ideal position for an experienced IT Sales professional to join an innovative company and make a difference from day one. Not only does this position offer the chance to earn fantastic commission, but for the right person there is tremendous scope to develop your career.

In this integral and newly created role, as a Field IT Sales Executive / Business Development Manager you will be responsible for driving sales of the company’s IT services throughout the South West. Your role will focus on selling to new businesses across the area and managing customer relationships. As the role develops, you will have the chance to move into a sales management role and potentially, recruit and manage your own sales team.

To succeed in this position you must have proven IT sales experience, preferably from selling IT solutions. You will also need to demonstrate strong commercial awareness, excellent communication and negotiation skills, and competency dealing with contacts at director level.

Additionally, as the Field IT Sales Executive / Business Development Manager you should have a good level of computer literacy, strong admin skills and the ability to plan your work. You will also need to be committed, ambitious, and above all, enjoy a challenge.
