November’s monthly update on things that have tweaked our interest or may be useful for you to know.

Managed Device Support – is here !

We’ve been busy behind the scenes at Alchemy Tech HQ setting up all the powerful features of our new platform, so are fully ready to accept your machines into proactive support. If you’re relying on internal resource to keep your user machines running, do patching & updates and generally be on call to whoever needs help, then this service is perfect for you.

It’s an easy add-on to an existing support arrangement too, so expect a tailored offer shortly.

Black Friday

Not quite Tech news, but with Black Friday sales approaching and Christmas looming large on the horizon, Amazon’s deals always hold a certain interest to us in Tech-Land. If you’re like me and always a ‘little’ suspicious of the larger discounts being offered, a quick check of the price history should reassure you that you really are getting the deals you think you’re getting.

That’s where camelcamelcamel.com comes in.

Paste the Amazon URL of the product you wish to check into their search box, and you’ll get a full breakdown of the price history if available. See below:

The above product is ‘on sale’ at £59.99 – a 43% discount apparently – but yes, it does appear a genuine discount looking back at the history.

LinkedIn

We’re still posting a fair bit of relevant content on our LinkedIn page too, so if you haven’t already please give us a give us a cheeky ‘follow’, if you aren’t already:  https://www.linkedin.com/company/alchemy-systems-international-limited/.Feel free to say hi there too !

Microsoft Bookings App

Included as part of most M365 licenses these days, ‘Bookings’ is a powerful auto-meeting facility, synced with live calendar info to ensure time slots are right first time. Set general availability times, exclude holiday periods & weekends, and insert ‘buffer times’ around booking slots to give preparation before and action time after… and you’re ready to go.

See mine:

Feel free to use it too – it’s not just for demo purposes !

Christmas Announcements

If you want the telephone announcements refreshed on your automated systems (on-hold etc) for the festive holiday season by a professional voice artist, just let me know the script and I’ll fire you a quote.

CoPilot is Here

Microsoft Copilot – if you haven’t heard of it yet, expect to see it mentioned everywhere over the next year. Think of it as AI for your whole 365 platform – analysing your own data and helping you use it in a more productive way. By speeding up your normal daily tasks on the bottom end, but creating powerful visual output without needing advanced Microsoft skills at the top, Copilot is positioning itself as a major timesaving resource.

Microsoft say:

“jump-start the creative process so you never start with a blank slate again. Copilot gives you a first draft to edit and iterate on — saving hours in writing, sourcing, and editing time. Sometimes Copilot will be right, other times usefully wrong — but it will always put you further ahead. “

“And with Copilot in Excel, you can analyse trends and create professional-looking data visualizations in seconds.”

“We all want to focus on the 20% of our work that really matters, but 80% of our time is consumed with busywork that bogs us down. Copilot lightens the load.”

“Copilot will fundamentally change how people work with AI and how AI works with people. As with any new pattern of work, there’s a learning curve — but those who embrace this new way of working will quickly gain an edge.”

We can’t wait to get our hands on it and have a play !

That’s it for November’s update. As usual, myself and the Team are here if you need us – ready to chat, ready to help, ready to solve.
